The Wood Family had such a gentle presence. All three of them, left me feeling so at peace and refreshed. We shared laughs, gawked at the adorable little one crawling all over the beach and enjoyed the empty scenic view of St. George Island State Park.
Little Owen absolutely melted my heart. At the time of this session my little one had just made her arrival a couple months prior, so watching him play on the beach had me giddy for the days to come with my own baby.
Seeing how Owen interacted with his mama, and the bond they shared was part of the spark that drew me to motherhood photography.
Speaking of motherhood, Mama Wood had a very special secret to share during our session. She was expecting another little one! I couldn't let the opportunity to document this very early stage.
Owen was clearly up for a more unique and playful pregnancy announcement opportunity. His bear crawl had me giggling, but I loved the chance to have a moment for just mom and dad.
This family allowed their session to unfold naturally and that made for some beautiful candid portraits that embraced the season of life they were in. There's no better way to remember the early months and years of your child's growth than allowing them to be themselves and explore. All while having it photographed.
