Women Who Hold Mothers: A Collaboration Rooted in Faith, Friendship, and Care | Stand + Deliver Midwifery

There are women who walk alongside mothers in quiet, unseen ways, women who hold space for strength and vulnerability at the same time. Women who remain steady in moments of joy, fear, anticipation, and grief. This collaboration was born from that kind of presence.

I am partnering with Stand & Deliver Midwifery in Pensacola, the very practice that has supported me through multiple home births and will do so again, to host a series of Motherhood Petites at their birth center. The space itself carries a tenderness that is difficult to articulate unless you’ve experienced it. It is a place where life is welcomed with intention, care, and reverence.

What makes this collaboration especially meaningful is not simply the offering, but the women behind it.

Strength That Carries Others

Within the Stand & Deliver Midwifery team are women of remarkable conviction and compassion. Two of them, Tina and Kerry, have shown me, personally, what it looks like to love sacrificially and to remain anchored in faith when life feels unbearably heavy.

Just days before Christmas, Tina and her family experienced a tragic accident that took the life of her daughter. Tina herself suffered serious injuries and continues to walk through a long road of recovery. In the midst of this unimaginable loss, the strength and resilience displayed, both by Tina and by Kerry, who has stood beside her with unwavering care, has been quietly awe-inspiring.

Their friendship is not performative or loud. It is faithful. It is rooted. It is the kind of bond that holds another upright when they cannot stand on their own.

If you're local, you can sign up for their Meal Train or if you felt the nudge in your spirit, you can contribute to their Go-Fund-Me.

Midwifery as Ministry

Stand & Deliver Midwifery has always embodied more than clinical care. Their work reflects a belief in bodily autonomy, the wisdom of women, and the sanctity of birth as a God-designed process. Their faith is lived, not proclaimed, woven into how they serve, how they speak, and how they show up for families again and again.

Even in a season marked by grief and physical healing, these women continue to support their clients, their community, and one another. The decision to open their birth center to host Motherhood Petites, inviting me into their space, was an act of generosity I do not take lightly.

These Motherhood Petites are meant to feel intimate, grounded, and honest. They are not about perfection or performance. They are about honoring mothers as they are: strong, tender, weary, hopeful, becoming.

As part of this collaboration, a portion of each session will be directed toward supporting Tina and her family during this time. It is a small, tangible way of coming alongside women who have given so much of themselves to others.

This offering also allows me, in a season where my own family has been navigating uncertainty, to continue receiving care from the midwives I trust deeply. It is a reciprocal act, women supporting women, sustaining one another through shared values and lived faith.

A Small Word About Me

For those who may be visiting from the Stand & Deliver community and are unfamiliar with my work: I am a coastal fine art photographer, a mother, and a woman shaped profoundly by birth, faith, and gratitude. My relationship with this practice is both personal and professional, Tina has been my midwife through multiple births, and this will be my third home birth under their care.

My photography is an extension of that same reverence: for mothers, for life, for the quiet strength it takes to bring children into the world and continue showing up afterward.

An Invitation Rooted in Community

This collaboration is not about charity or transaction. It is about community. About ensuring no one walks alone. About honoring the women who hold mothers, especially when they themselves need holding.

If this offering speaks to you, I invite you to inquire. More details will be shared personally with those who reach out.

In a time where many are weary, may we continue to choose connection, care, and faithfulness, to one another, and to the lives entrusted to us.
